It’s always nice to have a hook to a limited edition car, and Skoda are hanging their latest limited editions of the Yeti, Octavia and Superb on the Tour de France. The 2014 Tour de France will see its first three stages run in the UK, so Skoda are doing a ‘cycling enthusiast’ version of the Yeti, Superb and Octavia with some ‘le Tour de France’ badges, waterproof covers for the seats and bike wheel bags as well as throwing in a centenary edition of the Rouleur Tour de France book and a chance to win a VIP Tour de France experience. Just 198 examples of each car will be built – that’s the number of entries for this year’s Tour de France – and you can only have one in Red, White or Blue.

It’s been at least a week since MINI announced a new model or limited edition. And there’s still a pair of MINIs waiting in the wings to be launched – the MINI Roadster and MINI Coupe. But that hasn’t stopped MINI coming up with yet another MINI – the MINI Paceman – which will debut at the Detroit Motor Show.
Graduating students from Strate College in Paris, France displayed their final projects in a degree show held at the school's temporary facility late last month. Founded in 1993, the school has outgrown its rented facility and is in the process of relocating to a new purpose-built facility, which will be completed at the start of the next school year. Of the 60 students studying various disciplines, the design exhibition also included the works of 16 students in the Transportation Mobility program.
